FAQs
1) How do I switch my dog/puppy from his current diet to your product?
We recommend slowly transitioning from the product that you are currently using to our diet. Although the ingredients may look very similar on the labels, they may contain very different sources of nutrients that your pup will need to adapt slowly to. It is recommended to spread the transition over a week starting with ¾ of the daily amount of your current diet and ¼ of the daily amount of your new product. Change these amounts every two days by ¼ until you have completely transitioned to your new diet. (I.E. ¾ old ¼ new, ½ old ½ new, ¼ old ¾ new, 0 old all new)
2) How long should my puppy stay on puppy food?
Puppy food has higher calories and more nutritional supplements than adult dog food. The additional content is crucial during your puppy’s growth and development. It is important that you keep your dog on the correct diet so that they can maintain good health. Changing from puppy food to adult food depends on the size and physical maturity of your dog. If your pup is a small breed then it will mature at a faster rate whereas bigger dog breeds can take a lot longer to reach their full maturity. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend that you continue to feed your fur baby puppy food until they reach at least 12 months of age.
